Well, this is my first post for my blog site. I am still weaving my way through the maze of trading and finally making some progress. You've all heard it and I will repeat it but money mangement and risk management are THE keys to success in this business. Learn this and you are 90% there and on your way.
I trade both bullish and bearish but seem to prefer the bearish side. When the bearish trades work they generally work fast and I like that.
Most of my trades are options trades of one sort or another. I like spreads, either debit or credit and trade them regularly but also like straight options trades. Spreads helped me get my footings back in the fall of 2006. Yeah I know, I would have made a lot more money going with straight calls but I was not managing my risk appropriately and losing my shirt doing that. Spreads saved my account and kept me in the game.
